When is a Dress Vintage, Antique or just Used?

Very often we look to the past in nostalgia where we want to capture those moments and relive them, unfortunately, we can’t do that but what we can do is every now and then have a piece from the past, perhaps this is a way for us to create value and give it distinction.

In an interview with Gauthier Borsarello, Editor in Chief & Fashion Director of lEtiquette Magazine, who is also a men’s wear designer and stylist, he talked about what is Vintage, what is antique and what is used.

If it’s more than twenty years old its Vintage

If it’s more than 80 years old its Antique,

And if its more than five years old then it’s a used secondhand piece.
